Digital SAT practice test
A real Digital SAT section is two timed modules with a fork in the middle. If your 'practice test' is a linear PDF or a pile of Easy items, it is not training the thing that sets the score.
Take the official ones first
College Board's Bluebook app is the format source of truth — same player, same timing, same SPR grid. Sit those. They are free. Drilled is not a substitute for official practice tests, and we are not affiliated with College Board.
What a section actually is
Math: two modules of 22 in 35 minutes. Reading & Writing: two of 27 in 32. After Module 1, the app picks a hard or easy Module 2. The hard path is where 800 lives. The easy path is capped. A practice test that never routes is a different exam.
What Drilled's sim is for
Full section sim uses that same adaptive shape, then a harder mix weighted to band 6–7. Scaled scores are estimates, not equated official scores. Use it to pressure the hard module and to autopsy misses — not to print a concordance you take to a counselor.
When to sit a full one
Not every day. A full section is a diagnostic and a pressure rep. If Module 1 is leaky, a Routing Pace drill is a better hour than another 70-minute sim you already know you'll route on. If you have not sat a full adaptive section in a week and a date is coming, sit one.
A practice-test block that is worth the time
- Official Bluebook test when you need format and an official scaled score
- Drilled full-section sim when you need hard-module volume plus a notebook
- Module 2-only sim when the route is already solid
- Classify every miss. An unclassified 70-minute sit is just fatigue

- No. Official tests live in Bluebook. Drilled runs adaptive section sims with a harder mix and estimated scaled scores. Not affiliated with College Board.
- How long is a Digital SAT practice test?
- One Math section is 70 minutes of items (2 × 35) plus the module break. One Reading & Writing section is 64 minutes of items (2 × 32). A full SAT sitting is both sections plus the official break.
- Can I get 800 on a practice test that routed easy?
- No. The easy Module 2 path is capped well below 800. If the second module felt comfortable, check whether you actually routed hard.
