What Bluebook is testing
H.D. is two equations, two variables: unique intersection, none, or infinitely many. Also: solve for one variable, or for an expression like x + y without finding each.
How it shows up
Worded mixtures, break-even, and 'for what k does the system have no solution.' Desmos intersection is the default move on calculator items.
A method that survives Module 2
Compare ratios: a1/a2 vs b1/b2 vs c1/c2. Same a/b, different c → none. All equal → infinite. If you only need x + y, add the equations if the coefficients cooperate. Desmos: graph both, click the intersection. If they never meet, that is the answer.
