Q.E. is probability, including conditional probability and two-way tables. And vs or, independent vs dependent, with vs without replacement.

How it shows up

Two-way tables are the usual stem. Hard items ask for P(A | B) when the table is incomplete, or a probability after a condition that is not a row or column label.

A method that survives Module 2

If you see 'given,' restrict the table to that row or column first. Then compute. Write counts, not percents, until the last step. For 'or,' check whether the events can both happen.

Traps that look like knowledge
